Job Description for Tenfold Team - Encompass Application Management:
The Encompass Technology Organization supports and develops technology solutions for the Encompass Brand of insurance products within the Allstate Insurance Company.
The Application Developer Consultant participates in coding work units for simple to intermediate changes, enhancements, and modules. The Consultant documents design, develops code, prepares for and participates in testing reviews, prepares code reviews, and resolves simple defects.
Application code is developed using the Tenfold Universal Application platform - a set of object-based tools and components to build customized applications. The applicant should have prior application development experience along with a solid working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL and ORACLE.
Primary Skills
Tenfold Universal Application platform.
Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts (inheritance, composition etc)
Strong understanding of SDLC methodology.
General understanding of relational database concepts and SQL
Experience debugging complex application issues
Familiarity with IDEs such as Eclipse, Rational Application Developer etc.
Experience with unit testing software (JUnit, etc...) is helpful.
Secondary Skills
Familiarity with IDEs such as Eclipse, Rational Application Developer etc is beneficial.
Prior knowledge in the Personal Lines Insurance industry is beneficial.
Prior experience with Java, JavaScript and/or the Google Web toolkit is helpful.
