Job Description

Core java (with oops fundamental) is mandatory

Web Development - Java Server side ( struts/Spring MVC/cocoon ) is mandatory

Web development - Client side ( html5/javascript + Ajax frameworks (like jquery) ) is mandatory

Relational databases - ORM concepts (Hibernate/iBatis) and SQL queries (postgres) is mandatory

Java Server - Exposure to IOC Containers/Dependency Injection/Spring is good to have

Java Server - Exposure to XML(parsing/binding)/XSLT/XPATH is good to have

Java Server - Exposure to web services (sun/axis/xfire) is good to have

Exposure to Java EE specifications and constituents like JTA/JTS, JMS, Any form of distributed architecture like (RMI/EJB/CORBA) is good to have.

Exposure to production environment - understanding of firewalls/network proxies etc and their impact on application protocols.

Exposure to production environment - Anakysis of heap/thread/tcp dump. JVM performance tuning. SQL tuning.

Exposure to Linux/Unix environment/OS - unix commands, scripts.
